At 10,000 feet over Zanzibar, the door opens and there’s nothing between you and the turquoise water below except several seconds of free fall at speeds up to 200 km/h — before the parachute opens and the island goes quiet.

You’re harnessed to a professional instructor for the entire jump, so no experience is needed — just a willingness to step out of the plane. After the free fall, a 5-7 minute parachute glide gives you a completely different view of Zanzibar’s coastline, reefs, and beaches than you’ll get any other way.
